The PCS Solution

The PCS is the centerpiece of the integrated processing facility model that is intended to be networked in a grid-like fashion throughout populated regions as well as stand-alone models for individual use. It can be configured to be mobile as well as stationary.


All waste is safely and effectively destroyed by this process, no matter how hazardous, toxic or lethal they may be. It is not enough to destroy hazardous waste; hazardous waste must be destroyed irreversibly. We produce machines that process "materials previously regarded as wastes," because once those materials enter the PCS, they are no longer wastes...they are known as "feedstocks." The system turns those material feedstocks into safe, valuable products such as Plasma Converted Gas (PCG), obsidian-like silicates and recyclable metals.

Of all the compounds that exist in nature, the most important to humankind as a source of chemical energy are those containing carbon. Life as we know it would be impossible without it. All the traditional fuels (eg. coal, oil and gas) are products of once-living things and the by-products of plants and animals. This is the primary storehouse of chemical energy that has been produced by the radiant energy of the sun.

Waste-to-energy (WtE) or Energy-from-Waste (EfW) is the process of generating energy in the form of electricity and/or heat from the management of waste.

The system is able to produce energy from waste and other fuels without direct combustion. These technologies have the potential to produce more electric power from the same amount of fuel than would be possible by direct combustion. For Example, 1000 tons-per day of waste is processed at a typical large municipality. The operation's daily output, could be hundreds of thousands Kilowatt hours, millions of gallons drinking water and millions of cubic feet of valuable hydrogen gas for sustainable power generation.

The PCS is an electrochemical system powered by electricity that produces an intense field of radiant energy (plasma) that causes the dissociation (breaking apart) of the molecular bonds of solid, liquid and gaseous compounds or materials of both hazardous and nonhazardous wastes (feedstock) organic and inorganic. Within the PCS, the molecules of the waste material are separated into their elemental components (atoms), and then reformed into recoverable nonhazardous commodity products ready for commercial use. The PCS process is not a burning process, and it should not be confused with an incinerator.

The PCS is a system whose principal feedstock is hazardous and nonhazardous waste. The heart of the PCS is "the plasma chamber." This vessel is equipped with a plasma torch that produces an intense field of radiant energy. Feed materials enter through an airlock system into the vessel where they are subjected to the intense energy of the plasma field. Materials undergo molecular dissociation and decompose into their elemental components their atoms.

Creating materials for the modern marketplace results in a steady accumulation of hazardous and nonhazardous by-products. Those materials that have generated profitable assets often become postproduction liabilities that result in additional expense. The PCS will help to solve this environmental problem in an affordable and economic way.

The need for a solution to the waste crisis is evidenced by the increasing 200 million tons of hazardous waste generated annually in the U.S. alone. An additional 13 billion tons per year of nonhazardous waste are also generated in the U.S. This daunting problem will be magnified by an exponential U.S. population growth that will exceed one-half billion people in 60 years' time. EAWC is determined to become a partner with industry and to protect the public health and safety for generations to come.

The superiority of the PCS's environmental performance is an important market driver. Using the EPA's recent suggestion for a nationwide dioxin standard as an example, plasma proves its environmental value. It achieves remediation levels that are thousands of times safer than this anticipated standard. Rigorous scientific testing by outside labs has proven that the PCS's performance is far safer than U.S. and Canadian environmental standards, by orders of magnitude. The PCS will allow the promulgation of new standards for a cleaner and safer environment, and for the improvement of the public health and safety.

Full-Circle Processing: CAR2E desires to acquire a closed-loop elemental recycling system that safely destroys wastes and produces commodity products. The system achieves this without producing harmful, noxious or dangerous by-products, effluents or emissions. The materials fed into the PCS are in actuality feed stocks, once regarded as wastes. The system makes it possible for the waste generator to eliminate the discharge or shipment of hazardous wastes out of their facility. The PCS eliminates the need to go through and into the community, and ultimately to landfills and incinerators. The waste generator will have the ability to remediate the hazardous waste on site, and not pass it into someone else's hands. Additionally, the waste generator will also realize a significant cost saving/profit.
